Winter spotlight

Some cards just make you smile and this is one of those for me. I made it for a recent mini VSN challenge, which called for using the spotlight technique on your card. The image is a long one, about six inches, and was a gift in the blog candy I won from my friend Karolyn. Unfortunately, I have no idea who makes it, but I am in love! There's rustic simplicity to it and I thought it worked perfectly for spotlighting. I used a square spotlight rather than the more typical round largely because the square punch was sitting right in front of me! I added a little color to the spotlighted piece, and also added some white sparkly fluff for some snowy texture. The final card is 6.5 inches by 3.5 inches and fits in a standard check-sized envelope.
Supplies:
Stamp: Unknown image, Savvy Stamps sentiment
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copic markers
Paper: bashful blue, real red, basic black, choice white
Accessories: square punches (Creative Memories), ribbon, button, sparkly fluff

So cute, Mish! I never would have thought to use that set for the spotlight technique, but that's why you're smart and I'm a bird brain! LOL P.S. The manufacturer of those stamps (and the others in the set) are made by Eat Cake Graphics. Aren't they fun? I love the little boy on the sled one. Super cute, missy!
