Clean up, use up!

I've been on a mission the last few weeks to clean up my crafting space and use up neglected supplies. I hate to throw stuff out, so I have files of scraps of patterned paper I can't part with, images that didn't work for a specific project, extra punched pieces that I think I will use eventually. Now I'm using them up!
I think this might be a sign that I am ready to pare down my stash - too many choices is a bit overwhelming sometimes, and I find myself going back to the same few stamps, papers and embellishments over and over again. Does this happen to anyone else???
So that brings me to today's card. I am making a lot of 3.5 by 5 inch cards these days because someone gave me a huge box of envelopes that size, and I am trying to use them up! The main image for this card was sitting on my desk for ages. I think I started a card for a challenge and never got back to it. The Hero Arts stamp was inked in Memento tuxedo black, and stamped on soft sky cardstock. I then spritzed Smooch Shimmer Spritz over the top to give it some shimmer and sparkle. When I finally decided to finish the card, I kept the design and layout simple - adding a black mat to the image, and some black satin ribbon and pearls for accessories.
Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Memento tuxedo black
Paper: soft sky, basic black, neenah white
Accessories: satin ribbon from Michael's, Kaisercraft black pearls, Smooch spritz

This is stunning, Mish!! I love the color palette and the collage effect of this image. Really pretty! I so hear you, sistah, on that whole "too much stuff" and feeling overwhelmed. Every time I pare down, I add more. It's a sickness, I tell ya!! LOL I loves me some stamps . . . don't see that changing any time soon. What has helped me though is to separate new stuff from old stuff. I find if I don't have to root through everything, I'll actually use the new stuff before it goes in with the old stuff.
