Scotland-inspired!

This is another in my series of cards inspired by my Virtual Vacation! Some SCS friends and I are taking a 'virtual' trip to several European countries this summer and making cards inspired by the places we visit. This card was inspired by the castles of Scotland! I used the grid technique on the background to look like the gray stone of the castles. I scored the paper every half inch then stamped my linen background stamp on the panel and sponged the edges with basic gray ink. The card was finished off with some scalloped edging, ribbon and some stickles on the flower centers for a little bling!
Supplies:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Upsy Daisy, linen
Ink: Basic gray, almost amethyst, elegant eggplant
Paper: basic gray, almost amethyst, elegant eggplant, whisper white
Accessories: EK Success punch, ribbon, stickles

I think you've acheived the effect you were seeking, it does remind me of stones in a castle wall! And the rose, roses of bonny Scotland, well put together!
