Hope

Did you know today is National Cancer Survivors Day? It's held on the first Sunday of June and is a chance to honor and celebrate those around us who are cancer survivors. As some of you may recall, my sister is a cancer survivor, and I have several friends and family members who are survivors, as well. My hope is that we can, in our generation, find cures for this dreaded disease, in all its forms. So I figured this card would be a perfect card to share today. I used this fabulous Hope image from Taylored Expressions and one of the sketches from Taylor's sketch farewell party. I'm sad she's ending the sketch challenge, because it has provided so much inspiration over the last few years, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she does next! The image was colored with Copics and I added a touch of stickles to the flower center for a bit of sparkle. The patterned papers are from an old TE Key Ingredients kit - I can't remember the name of the line anymore! I like this sketch a lot, so I think I will use it again in the future. Thanks for stopping by today!
Supplies:

Ink: Memento rich cocoa, Copic markers
Cardstock: aqua, pink, green and patterned paper from TE kit; neenah white
