Cath's Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab blog this week just spoke to me. First it was the color, then it was the sense of new beginnings and springtime. I knew I wanted to translate it into a card. My first attempt, however, was a disaster! I thought all hope was lost, then I stopped by a local scrapbook store today and stumbled on these beautiful Graphic 45 papers. This is what I came up with from the inspiration photo:
The flower and leaves are paper-pieced using the reverse sides of the sheets of paper that make up the background. The rest of the card is super simple, just a little layering and a button with some linen thread. I really love how this one turned out, and it's not often I say that!
