Wrapping up Christmas in July!

How cute is this little treat box? I was the lucky winner a few weeks ago in a giveaway on the Inky Antics blog. The prize was a wood stamp that serves as a template for this triangle treat box, along with a set of coordinating clear "character maker" stamps that can be stamped on the boxes. My set had Santa and reindeer characters. I can't wait to make more of these - I think I am going to try turning them into ornaments for the tree. They will also hold a couple of pieces of candy, so they might make a fun and super inexpensive little package tie-on or gift for my coworkers. On my Santa, I actually stamped the hat on a separate piece of paper, cut it out and glued it on to the box for a little extra dimension. The image is colored with Copics and I added some white sparkly fluff to the hat and mustache. I haven't tried the reindeer yet, but I will soon! For now, this wraps up my series of Christmas in July posts. Tomorrow I'll have a non-holiday entry for the blog! :)
