CPS #175 with Melody Ross

I picked up a single sheet of this fabulous paper from Melody Ross' Homespun Chic collection at a LSS recently and I am now doing everything I can to use every bit of it up. It is just delightful paper - definitely has a bit of that homespun feel. The flowered side has a slight texture to it, but the striped side doesn't, which is kind of fun. This was my attempt at a shabby chic card, but still keeping with my clean and simple leanings! I made patchwork quilt frame for the sentiment, then let it star on the card, with some fairly simple embellishments, including a lovely stick pin from Jenni Bowlin Studios. This was another recent find and these pins are amazing! They really add a special touch. I also highlighted the words dear and friend in the sentiment, using my quickie glue pen and adding some ultrafine crystal glitter from Art Institute. The sketch is this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems. I love how this card turned out and can't wait to get back to my stamp desk so I can finish using the paper up!
