CC269: Birthday rocks

My work schedule tends to be a little bit crazy, but one of the things I can count on is going in late each Tuesday. Almost every week I have to work a late shift on Tuesday, which means I can stay up late on Mondays and stamp! Betty usually posts the SCS color challenge at midnight EST, which is 9 p.m. for me, and prime stamping time! Betty's been working with soon-to-be-retired Stampin Up colors and this week's featured some of the bold brights. The challenge was gable green, lovely lilac and cameo coral (which is an earth element, but goes so well with the brights!). I had a bit of this patterned paper on my desk which fit the challenge well, so that was my starting point. I also had my You're my hero stamps from Taylored Expressions handy, and paired them for what I hope is a good card for a tween girl, since my niece's birthday is coming up! The image was backed with a partial scallop from a Nestie rectangle die. I pulled out the big green bling for some balance.
Supplies:
Stamps: You're my hero, Taylored Expressions
Ink: Cameo coral, lovely lilac
Paper: neenah white, lovely lilac, cameo coral, gable green, Paper Pizazz patterned paper
Accessories: Nestabilities, Kaisercraft bling, EK Success punch, Cuttlebug Embossing folder

Delicious!! This color combo is fabulous - I might just have to give that one a try, too!! I'm a night owl stamper, too. When Garry was still in AZ and I was here in WA by myself, I kinda got my days and nights mixed up. I found I was most creative at about midnight. Go figure!! LOL Wouldn't it be fun to have an all night crop/stampfest with our VSN buddies?!! Sooo fun!
