Paper blossom
Today's card is for Edna's paper flower challenge for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive. I was inspired by the flower on this card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1814442
It's not often I go grungy, but once I started on the flower I couldn't stop. I sponged antique linen and tattered rose distress ink on each layer of the flower and linen on the card base and image panel edges. Once the flower was assembled, I lightly brushed the edges with aged mahogany. The card measures 3.5 by 5 inches. I've been making a lot of cards this size lately because I ran out of A2 envelopes and I have a huge box of envies this size! Of course, the puffy flower will get squished in an envie, but what can you do? :) Thanks, as always, for stopping by today!
