I'm in Salem, Oregon, this weekend for the Relay for Life, a 24-hour walk to benefit the American Cancer Society. I'm there to support my sister, Sunny, who was diagnosed with cancer last year. Her team name is "Rays of Hope," so I made a few crafty things to sell or give away to folks who stop by to visit. In fact, I purchased Our Craft Lounge's Sunshine Cheer set just so I could make stuff for relay with it. Do you think that will make it tax deductible? Just kidding! ;)The only trouble with my plan, though, was that I couldn't get the sun image to work with the candy treat bags I had designed. It was simply too big. So I began scouting all the different stores I shop in for a candy that wouldn't melt if it was sunny and that would showcase the sun image from the stamps. I hit the jackpot when I was at Trader Joe's, where I found some organic suckers that were bright colors and also flat to accommodate a paper cover! This is how the finished pops turned out! I think there are about 30 in the container.

What a cute project! And such meaning behind those sunny lolly pops. I am sorry to hear about your sister, I've been so out of touch, I didn't know . . . DH's sister is battling her second bout with breast cancer. Hope the walk is super successful!!!
