Embracing white

I decided this weekend to embrace the white space on my cards, and not cover or color over the white cardstock too much. Jen del Muro had a challenge on her blog this weekend to use a mostly white card base, but I'm not good at following directions, so instead I used a mostly white main image layered on colored cardstock. I liked the first card so much, I made a set. I may give them as a gift, or use them one at a time, I'm not sure yet. The stamp sets are Artfully Asian and small script; the images are stamped on shimmery white paper with black Stazon ink and watercolored with an aqua painter and ink from the pad lids. I used true thyme, almost amethyst and vintage violet on one, and artichoke, pretty in pink and cranberry crisp on the other. Each white card is layered on black cardstock, then on layers of either pink and cranberry or amethyst and violet. Ribbons are May Arts (black) and SU (cranberry). Sorry about the photo - my camera apparently isn't embracing the white like I am!
